Hi,

This article is being translated in French as you can see on this page : http://www.traduc.org/docs/lgazette/nouvel_etat_gazette.php?1.152.2

I am the reader of the translated article and I think there is a tiny error at the Section "Finding and Substituting", the last example :

  :1,'b/dog/cat/ceg

is missing the 's' to substitude and should be, I guess :

  :1,'bs/dog/cat/ceg

isn't it?

Thank you for this good article, I am learning a lot!

Regards,

Eric

Yes - you're absolutely correct. Well spotted! I've updated the original article at our site; hopefully, the good folks at traduc.org will update theirs (I see that this article is marked 'En relec." at their site, which my wife, who speaks French, tells me means something like "Being revised".)

I was quite impressed with it myself. As much as I enjoy Vim, and as long as I've been using it, I've learned a few things from it myself!

Many thanks for the feedback, and thank you again as I learned a verb.

Regards,

Eric

Actually... :)

I'm currently developing an English-French machine translation system for the Apertium project (http://www.apertium.org) - I could do with some feedback on the quality of the English->French translation quality, if you would be willing to provide it. (I'm pretty confident in my own ability to judge the quality in the French->English direction :)
